Display boards need to be eye catching

Trade show displays come in all shapes and sizes, dependent on the type of product being displayed, the location, and how much the exhibitor is willing to spend on display boards.

Using flying banners is a great way to attract attention over to your trade show displays, as it will be one of the first things a person will see when entering an exhibition space. Although flying banners are a great way of attracting spectators, a lot of companies still struggle to find the right design for their banners.

Just like advertising billboards, or even newspaper advertisements, banners and display boards need to attract someone’s attention within a very short space of time. On average, the length of time a person will look at a sign or banner of this type will only be for a few seconds.

In order to get a message across to a passing spectator, you should keep the design of your flying banners as simple as possible. This usually means having no over-the-top pictures or designs that will detract away from the important messages you are trying to get across to the audience. Stick to short and snappy words that can be read quickly. Also, using large fonts will also help people read the message from further away.

When thinking about the use of logos, pictures or colour, try to incorporate the image of the company into the banner. This will help make an excellent first impression to those passing by, and who knows, they may even stop at your exhibition stall for a chat.
