Acoustic Desk Dividers

Riva PET Acoustic Desk Screens for Quieter, More Focused Offices

Busy offices can be distracting places. Conversations, telephone and video calls, meetings and general workplace activity all contribute to background noise, while open-plan layouts can leave employees with little privacy or separation from neighbouring workstations.

Riva PET Acoustic Desk Screens provide a practical solution by combining visual privacy with sound-absorbing acoustic material. Positioned around or between workstations, Riva screens help define individual working areas while introducing acoustic absorption directly into the desk environment.

The result is a more comfortable workspace with fewer distractions, helping to create conditions that support employee focus, concentration and productivity.

What Are Riva PET Acoustic Desk Screens?

Riva is our range of UK-made acoustic desk screens manufactured from PET acoustic material.

Unlike a conventional office desk divider that primarily provides a visual barrier, Riva screens also provide acoustic absorption. The PET material helps absorb sound rather than presenting another hard surface from which sound can reflect.

This means a Riva screen performs two important roles within the workplace: providing privacy between desks and adding acoustic absorption close to the people and activities generating office noise.

UK-Made PET Acoustic Desk Screens

PET panels are 100% polyester fibre made from recycled plastic bottles. The production process transforms the bottles into soft textile fibres, creating a felt-like finish.

The Riva acoustic desk screen range is manufactured in the UK from PET acoustic material and is available in 12mm and 24mm thicknesses.

Both thicknesses provide the opportunity to introduce acoustic PET material into the immediate workstation area while creating greater visual separation between neighbouring desks.

With plain and decorative Riva desk screen options available, the range can also form part of the overall office design. Choose a simple screen for a clean, understated appearance or a decorative Riva screen to introduce greater visual interest to the workspace.

Acoustic Desk Screens for Open-Plan Workplaces

Riva PET acoustic screens are particularly suited to open-plan offices, shared workstations, call centres, contact centres and other busy working environments where multiple employees work in close proximity.

Adding acoustic screens between desks creates a visual boundary around individual workstations, which can help reduce peripheral distractions and give employees a greater sense of personal space.

Because Riva screens are made from sound-absorbing PET acoustic material, they also introduce acoustic treatment directly into the working area. This can be especially useful in environments where speech and telephone conversations are a frequent source of distraction.

Do Acoustic Desk Screens Reduce Office Noise?

Acoustic desk screens are designed to help manage sound within a workspace rather than completely eliminate office noise.

The PET acoustic material used to manufacture Riva desk screens absorbs sound, helping to reduce sound reflections around the working environment. Their position at desk level also means acoustic material can be placed close to everyday sources of workplace sound, including conversations, telephone calls and video meetings.

For larger offices or spaces with more complex acoustic challenges, Riva desk screens can form part of a broader acoustic strategy alongside wall-mounted panels, ceiling acoustic treatments and freestanding screens.

Can Riva Acoustic Desk Screens Help Staff Concentrate?

Reducing distractions can make it easier for employees to concentrate on tasks that require sustained attention.

Riva acoustic desk screens provide a combination of visual screening, personal workspace definition and sound absorption. This can help make individual workstations feel less exposed to surrounding office activity and create a more comfortable environment for focused work.

For employees working alongside colleagues who frequently make telephone or video calls, or in busy open-plan environments with constant movement and conversation, this combination of privacy and acoustic absorption can be particularly valuable.

12mm and 24mm PET Acoustic Desk Screens

The Riva range is available in a choice of 12mm and 24mm PET material thicknesses, providing options for different workplace and interior design requirements.

We also offer plain and decorative PET acoustic desk screens, allowing Riva to work with a wide variety of office styles. Plain designs provide a simple contemporary appearance, while decorative screens allow acoustic treatment to become a more visible feature of the interior.
