Advertising Needn’t Be Expensive

There is a theory that, when times are tough in business, the first part of the company which gets cut is the advertising department. It’s easy to see why this is the case, because during a recession companies like to focus on what they see as more important areas of the business, but many experts see this approach as short-sighted.

We are still recovering from the after-effects of the credit crunch, and for many of us times are still tough. So, rather than cut your advertising and marketing entirely, it makes more sense to look at cheaper methods of promoting your business.

If you have been using local radio and newspapers to advertise, you have probably already thought about cancelling this, at least for a short period, so you really do need to look at other methods of advertising. One of the best ways to do this is to look at how products such as outdoor signs, forecourt signs and even the humble A Board can make a difference by attracting customers into your shop.

These items are relatively inexpensive when compared to other forms of advertising, and if used correctly they can be really effective. Have a think about what you want your banner stands to say about your company.

Make the message snappy and to the point, because there is nothing worse than an advert which contains too much information. People will just switch off when they see it, so bear this in mind when putting together the information for your display stands, and your message will be more effective.
