Why Display Stands Are So Important For Children’s Work

One of the most enduring mementos of childhood is the drawings and paintings that hang on the walls and fridges of devoted parents, grandparents and aunties. These are displayed as a matter of pride for everyone. The children are proud to see their work displayed and it serves as a reminder of how much they are valued and loved. The adults, on the other hand, are simply proudly showing off!

This trend continues at school. Teachers hang up artwork or stories and poems on display stands for several reasons. One, it is a pleasant way of decorating and cheering up a room. Two, it gives the children a sense of ownership of the room: “This is our classroom”, it seems to say. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it makes every child feel important to see their work on display. Clearly there will be some children who are more talented at art than others, but it won’t make a difference because all of the class will see their work on display stands.

All students from the younger classes up to higher levels get a sense of pride from seeing their work on display stands, and have something they can share with their parents on visiting days.

For safety purposes, teachers and other school staff need to ensure that if surfaces other than walls are being used to display work, then the materials used are safe and hygienic for a children’s classroom. Portable display stands which are easy to clean and put away are ideal, while folding display stands can be used for special occasions and open days. We can also supply display cases for statuesque pieces of art, such as clay models and 3D models.
