Using Display Panels At Schools
Schools are an interesting environment which lie somewhere between a business and a creative enterprise. The staff, resources and budget need managing just as in a business, but the creativity of the children combined with the necessary creativity of teachers mean that there is an artistic element – this may come in the form of art itself, or drama, music and language.
To this end, display panels and other materials are part and parcel of every school’s infrastructure.
Display panels are used to display the work of students, but they can also be used for other things. Display panels may be used by the school’s management to illustrate progress being made in the area of exam results, or more practically, in the building of a new sports centre or computer room.
Outdoor signs are also used in schools a great deal. Whether they are to inform or to warn, outdoor signs must be able to withstand all weather conditions. The kind of information that may be seen on such a sign may include information on sports fixtures, who is being included on a sports team, or quite simply: KEEP OFF THE GRASS.
Notice boards are another display material that are found all around schools. Outside classrooms, notice boards may advise other students and staff members of a class’s exam results, or of a trophy won or a new skill gained by a particular student.
Typically, in schools as in anywhere, notice boards dictate rules and regulations. If information has to be disseminated throughout a school then management may seek to approach the subject at a formal assembly in the first instance, and afterwards back it up with paperwork displayed on a noticeboard.
