Are Office Screens More Important Than We Think?

Office screens evolved from a desire to fit more employees in an office space – the screen allows people to feel like they had their own personal space, and therefore feel able to work.

Much as we have got used to office screens and potentially take them for granted; the fact is that in overcrowded cities where office space is limited and very expensive, office screens do allow people some privacy.

Another useful yet also largely ignored item is the flip chart. Some might say that technology has made flip charts redundant – why use a flip chart, paper and pen when you could just use a PowerPoint presentation on your laptop instead?

Indeed, but there are times when flip charts come in quite handy. During presentations where no audience participation is required – perhaps not, but if you are looking for ideas during a presentation, then a flip chart enables you to present and note other people’s input at the same time.

Flip chart easels are the unsung hero of the presentation – if you have ever had to fiddle around with a flip chart easel right before or during a presentation then you will know why. They are easy to use and keep your flip chart stable and secure so that you don’t have to worry about it and can concentrate on the subject matter at hand.

To conclude then, it would seem that there are objects regularly used in office life which we take for granted, but that technology has been unable to replace and we would miss them sorely if they weren’t there.
